Over the past year and a half the real estate market has changed dramatically, and the use of the Internet and technology has adapted to these new conditions. Users are on the Internet longer and more often. With financing difficult to obtain and prices difficult to set, buyers are sharper than ever when it comes to researching home values. Buyers are using the Internet to do research on everything from homes to dvd players.

Your web site and the marketing that surrounds your site is now the most critical weapon in your marketing arsenal. With the cost of print and other more traditional forms of advertisement rising, there is no better return on your dollar right now than web marketing.

Single Property Websites Go like Hot Cakes!

Friday, October 2nd 2009

We are giving away single listing web sites, and real estate agents are loving them. I will admit however, that not all agents know what these are, or realize that they are useful. It seems to be that either they are really happy to have a free one, or they have never heard of them, and are suspicious!

I am saying 'cast your suspicions aside agents!', you need as many web pages out there as you can get! don't be shy. Single property website are a great way to advertise your listing in a way that it will get spidered and noticed. The mote times you get noticed, the better, so do it often.

Think of web pages as digital bread crumbs that search engine spiders eat up. They will eat the crumbs that will lead them to your web site. In return the spider will lead customers directly to you!

Spiders are hungry, you must feed them.

Real Estate Web Site SEO - Search Engine Optimization

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

The vast majority of home buyers start their search online, making the Internet a very important source of leads for Brokers and Agents. You may have spent a bundle of money on designing a website, placing the MLS listings on it and other sources and thought those were all you needed to attract more leads. Yes, of course having a website is important, but what if the buyer cannot find your website in the search results. You need to make sure you are on the top of the search page for the buyer to find your well-designed website and then you will capture more leads. It’s the same idea as if you were hosting an Open House but did not put a sign up for it, who is going to know about the event. You want the most people to see the Open House sign to generate more traffic, just like you want the most people to find your website to capture more leads.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a way to generate more traffic to your website to help brokers and agents capture more leads and close more deals. There are several ways to begin an SEO campaign but here are some of the basics. First, it would be best if you found a company that specializes in real estate SEO because they are familiar with the market, able to put up the MLS listings in the correct form. The real estate SEO company will dedicate more time in analyzing the market, researching keywords for that market and implementing the findings into the specific target area they are working with.

If you chose to try SEO on your own, think about this. When people are looking for a home, they are going to look for a specific targeted area. For example, an Atlanta Georgian realtor can use the keyword phrase “Atlanta Georgia homes for sale”. It is important to have a targeted keyword because that is how people search. You want to be user friendly while also being efficient in using SEO. This keyword phrase will also have to be used on the website itself for the search engines to find it.

It is also important to have relevant text on the homepage and throughout the site. Pick one of the keyword phrases you decide to use and write about it. The more text and more times you use that keyword, the faster the search engine will find your page and the higher it will be ranked in the search results. However, do not be redundant and make the site look fake. Being user friendly is just as important as being search engine friendly.

Having a real estate website with SEO is very important in today’s market. Try these tips and see what results come to you.
